The poster of the 1st Ulju Mountain Film Festival emphasizes on the identity of a mountain film festival by overlapping the feet of Yeongnam Alps at Ulju with screens symbolizing the film festival. Two posters also focus on the characteristics in film media which drags out different things from an object along the alteration of frames.
The ¡®Zoom In¡¯ poster on the left shows the mountain from a close distance, and there are famous spots of Yeongnam Alps in each screen. From the top left, there are Ganwoljae, Eoksae Plain, Ssalbawi, Paraeso, which all are as vivid as in pictures. Various shapes of the mountain materialized through screens implicatively express that films make people and mountains close to each other. Mountains alternating in screens over time stand for various faces of Mountain Film Festival.
The ¡®Zoom Out¡¯ poster on the right expresses the mountain from a distance. Different from the ¡®Zoom In¡¯ Poster filled with explicit landscapes of the mountain, this one misses specific images of the mountain, which stimulates imagination of viewers. The abstract image of the mountain from a distance on top of the white background is enriched with the imagination of viewers. This implies the spirit of film festival: no film festival stands without viewers.
It shows the process that waving images of a mountain and pieces of foot of the mountain bare screens symbolizing films and finally complete the proper shape. This is also our journey of meeting mountains through films to encounter the true figure of mountains. The journey is materialized with key texts, ¡®mountain¡¯, ¡®feel¡¯, ¡®enjoy¡¯, and ¡®share¡¯. At the end of the trailer, the foot of the mountain and screens are put in place to show the image of the official poster of the festival. Then the whole thing indicates that the Ulju Mountain Film Festival is the medium place between mountains and films, and at the same time, films and people.
