H. Jay worked at a university institute of film in Seoul after a doctoral course of film aesthetics. He had an interest in an unique ways to create meaning of film, so that studied to establish the principle of its signification using conceptual blending theory from the cognitive linguistics while working at the institute. However, all of a sudden, he left to Himalaya so as to pursue his old dream as a film creator. After coming back to Korea, he is still trying for it.
Oh Young-Hoon is anthropologist, mountaineer, and administator. He has climbed extensively, from rocks and ice in South Korea to Everest in Nepal, and now serves at both of the Management Committees for Korea Alpine Federation and for International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation. He is currently a researcher in the Institute of Social Science at Seoul National University.
A film critic, Han Song-yi has completed a PhD degree in film studies and has created films and instructed scenario writing for a while and is still teaching filmmaking in Seoul. She takes a part in preliminary jury based on her personal experience of climbing club years ago.
Javier Barayazarra is the founder and director of the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival which he founded in 2008. He is also the president of the International Alliance for Mountain Film, an association composed of 26 Festivals of Mountain Film and a Mountain Museum, which represent 20 countries of Europe, Asia, Oceania and North and South America. He is a mountaineer, cameraman and director. His documentaries with Eneko and Iker Pou are some of his most well-known works.

His first film, Hand Gestures, was presented at the Berlin Film Festival in 2015 where it won the FIPRESCI award. Kim Hye-na graduated from the Acting Department of the Korea National University of Arts. She debuted in the film Flower Island (2001). She has been active in a variety of genres, appearing in works such as Suyeong Bakery (2024), Take Care of My Mom (2022), A Long Day (2021), The CMR (2020), Voice 3 (2019) and Psychopath Diary (2019). She directed the short film Errand (2023), her first directorial work.
As an enthusiast of climbing and mountain culture, I have taught camping and sport climbing at universities and mountaineering schools. I pioneered the new route on McKinley and have extensive climbing experience on Kanchenjunga, Gasherbrum II and IV, Annapurna, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Chomolungma, and Thalay Sagar. I am a member of the Keimyung University Mountaineering Club and the Corean Alpine Club.

Basanta Thapa is the Founding Chair and now Advisor of the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival(KIMFF), the pioneering mountain festival of Asia that debuted in 2000 and twenty first editions of the festival have been held so far. Thapa used to be the editor and later a columnist of a popular Nepali magazine for many year in the past. A well-known writer, translator and book publisher, Thapa lives in Kathmandu.
Kalash Nanda Kumar is a filmmaker, critic and journalist from Malaysia. He graduated with a degree in filmmaking and has worked on several major productions. In 2022, he became the first Malaysian member of FIPRESCI and was recently selected as an international voter for the Golden Globe Awards. Kalash has also participated in various regional and international film festivals, serving as juror, programmer, and facilitator. As a journalist, he covered current affairs with bylines in various national outlets.

The Slug was released in 2022.
The Youth Jury was established in 2019 to engage with young people in Ulsan. The jury is responsible for judging and awarding one of the films competing in the Asian Competition section. This year, jury members were selected through an open call, and will select the winning film with a fresh and creative perspective, distinct from the NETPAC Award. UMFF aims to provide the local youth with the opportunity to explore diverse Asian cultures and emotions through cinema, thereby creating a fuller and richer festival experience.

As a professional, Yu-jin had been invited as committee member of several film festivals and writes article and report regularly. She was general manager of Korean Independent Animation Filmmakers Association from 2007 to 2023. She is festival director of Indie-AniFest from 2017.
