is a documentary about the golden age of Slovak Himalaya mountaineering in the 1980s, with an insightful look at their climbing records, the times, and the characters. Following the first successful ascent of the 8,000 m Nanga Parbat, Slovak mountaineers continued to impress the world with the first climbs of the southwest ridge and the south face of Mt. Makalu, the west face of Mt. Dhaulagiri and the southwest ridge of Mt. Cho Oyu during the winter. Behind these accomplishments stood Ivan Galfy and his behind-the-scenes dedication. In 1987, the four best climbers go missing during an Alpine style climb of the southwest rock band, and Slovak mountaineering comes to a halt along with the communist liberation. (Chrisine PAE)
