For the Inuit of East Greenland, hunting, especially seals, is a way of life. They are now in danger. For a long time, they have maintained their traditional way of life without outside influence, but it¡¯s no longer possible to escape changing environments and capitalism. On top of this, the European Union has prohibited the distribution of seal skin. The Inuit believe they will be the last of the ice hunters. Still, life moves on. The film captures the collision between globalization and locals, as it indifferently portrays the melting away, not only of the glaciers, but of the life and history of the natives. (KIM Hyung-seok)
