A surfer runs through knee-high snow before jumping into the blue-black waves of the winter waters. It is somewhat unfamiliar but thrilling to watch as the surfers enjoy the familiar Korean waves with skills akin to those of European surfers. As Korea’s first surfing film, it is a high-quality portrayal of Korean surfers’ innocent passion for the wave and the allure of Korea’s winter ocean. (Billy CHOI)
