When Lotte and Luise meet at an Austrian summer camp, they are shocked at seeing how similar they look. Once they figure out their secret relationship, they come up with an ingenious plan. Based on Erich Kastner’s 1949 novel Das doppelte Lottchen, the story already has many versions in different countries. This film recaptures the best parts of the original story while adding digitalized modernity and speed. Smartphones and social media become the two girls’ best and most important weapons. (KIM Se-jin)
