All parents want to express their own experience and insight in helping their children set a path for their future. Gyembo’s father, who operates a temple in Bhutan, wants him to become a monk and keep money in the family. But to a normal boy who likes soccer and girls on Facebook, such a “happy monk” philosophy is nothing but empty prayers. Gyembo’s younger sister Tashi makes it clear that she wants to become a soccer player. Someone like Tashi who wants to change her gender, and someone like Gyembo who is stuck between two paths both represent today’s youth. And the love between brother and sister is quite brilliant.
