Balazs SIMONYI
Spartathlon is a nonstop ultra-marathon contest that must be finished within 36 hours, beginning in Athens, Greece, and ending 246km away in Sparta. Each year, hundreds of people from around the world attempt it, but less than half are able to complete it. Hungarian director Balazs Simonyi completed the Spartathlon for four years running from 2013 to 2016, and introduces five ordinary contestants, including himself, who wish to push themselves to the limit. As they run, they ask: Why am I running? In this pain? Who am I? (JANG Boyoung)
