Arūnas MATELIS
¡®Giro d¡¯Italia¡¯ is one of cycling¡¯s three Grand Tours, which includes ¡°Tour de France.¡± It is a 23-day race through both the Alps and the Dolomiti. Director Arūnas Matelis has filmed this race for the past seven years, and focuses, not on the cup winners, but on the ¡®gregario.¡¯ They are the supporting members destined to be losers, and the director shows the life of these members who have sacrificed themselves for decades. It is a beautiful documentary shedding light on the real winners we don¡¯t see every day. (Billy CHOI)
