Matthew CROCKER, James DEAN
This is a surfing road movie following the
footsteps of the passionate early surfers who had travelled around the world in
search of the perfect wave - from the beaches of Biarritz in France, Mundaka in
Spain, Portugal, and Morocco in Africa. Vivid interviews with these early
surfers who pioneered the sport, rich data of how the beaches looked in the
past and the present are interwoven to show the enduring freestyle and defiant
spirit pursued by surfers fifty years ago. This is a cheerful documentary that
pays tribute to the pioneer surfers who have paved the way for surfing. (Billy
