Known as the barefoot climber, Bernd Arnold has made first ascents in the world’s most harrowing routes for some 20 years. Since his youth, he has pioneered 900 routes in the Saxonian sandstones in Germany. With his best friend Kurt Albert, he has climbed the Patagonia, the central peak of Fitz Roy, etc. Believing that climbing is at the center of his existence, he focuses on the inner world of climbing. Born in 1979. In 2003 he traveled around Australia. After this traveling, he got interested in making movies and documentaries. He’s been creating images as a cameraman, filmmaker and editor for different TV channels, advertising, music video and so on.
