At El Capitan of Yosemite, known as a world attraction of climbing, the Dawn Wall is notorious for its height of over 900m and the angle, seemingly impossible for anyone even to try climbing. Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jogerson have constantly endeavored to climb the Dawn Wall for the last 6 years. The media takes note of them as they spend 19 days eating and sleeping on the rock face, and the world pays attention to their thrilling and epochal challenge. Before dedicating himself to climbing the Dawn Wall, Tommy Caldwell had been through a series of ordeals including the traumatic incident of being captured by the armed rebel forces during an expedition in Kyrgyzstan, the amputation of a finger, and divorce. However, when Tommy Caldwell is forced to choose between the long-desired goal and his partner, he makes a decision without hesitation. Then he becomes a true climber and a real grown-up.
