Craig LEESON
Craig Leeson, a journalist who has had an ongoing fascination with blue them since childhood, finally sets out to sea to meet them. However, what he finds there is not the beautiful blue ocean where whales enjoy swimming but the water severely polluted
by plastic debris that threatens them. Along with a free diver, Tanya Streeter, he pays
a visit to 20 places around the world including Manila known as a city of garbage and Tuvalu where residents suffer from tons of plastic waste. By interviewing a wide range of scientists and ecologists, he also explores what kinds of dangers not only the ocean and sea creatures but also humans face. This award-winning documentary looks for immediate solutions as well as closely examines how plastics, which modern society easily produces and discards, threaten our ecosystem.
