James Q MARTIN, Chris CRESCI
Douglas Tompkins, known as the founder of the North Face, was actually an adventurer of climbing, skiing, and kayaking, and a world-renowned ecology activist. After migrating to Chile in 1990, he spent all his assets purchasing the virgin forest Patagonia, restored it, and donated it as a National Park. This film commemorates Tompkins who lost his life during a kayak accident in 2015.
