This is a film based on a 1945 classic Swiss children¡¯s book Schellen-Ursli written by Selina Chonz and illustrated by Alois Carigiet. In a small town in the Alps, the Chalandamarz is held every year on the first of March. To lead the parade up front during this festival in which children chase away winter by shaking cowbells, you have to find the biggest bell; however, unfortunately, Uorsin gets the smallest bell of all. Determined not to be the laughing stock of the village, he treks to his family¡¯s summer hut in the mountains where he can find a large cowbell. Over the course of his journey, a series of events occur, which will make you smile. It is not a dramatic or surprising film; instead, it is a heartwarming family drama that will remind you of the innocence of childhood, particularly known for its outstanding cinematography creating dynamic images of nature.
