Whiteout refers to a condition, often found in the Polar Regions, in which illumination from snow makes you lose a sense of direction. Walter, a polar bear poacher, sets out in search of a polar bear that disappears from his view. It is difficult to distinguish between reality and fantasy as Walter loses his consciousness in a blizzard. Overwhelmed by the whiteness of snow that embraces everything but a tree in the distance, we feel our senses are getting dull.
