As numerous independent nations were rising from the rubble of the Soviet Union, wars ravaged the region. In the process, the Great Pamir of Tajikistan was turned into a barren wasteland. However, there is a man who records and studies the plants that still survive. He is Raimberdi, the protagonist of this film. The film is divided into three parts ‐Root, Stem and Flower‐ that document his passion for life.
