Since olden times, the Altain nomads in Mongolia have practiced fox hunting with an eagle to fight the harsh winter. The thirteen-year-old Aisholpan, the oldest daughter of a nomadic eagle hunter family, is smart and strong enough to beat the boys of her age. Her dream is to become an eagle hunter, about which the patriarchal local elders are skeptical: to them, eagle hunting is men¡¯s work. Regardless, Aisholpan gives all her energy to train herself for the eagle hunting competition, with her strong supporter and mentor—her father. This is a story about a family who fight social prejudice by courageously pushing for gender equality and it depicts Aisholpan growing up. The breathtaking footage of the fox hunting and eagle hunting festival were taken by a custom-built drone.
