A short story of a surfer who rides the waves. The Coast, also the film’s title, is a space that connects two worlds like a bridge, and the border between the land and the water. The act of riding waves is capturing risky balance between the two worlds, going from one to the other. The surfer rides the wave’s flow while going against it simultaneously.
