Rush STURGES
The Niagara, one of three greatest waterfalls in the world, is 53m high and 790m wide. Since the old days, adventurer have attempted to jump down from it and a lot of them lost their lives. Rafa Ortiz, a pro kayaker from Mexico, is another adventurer chasing the dream. With the goal to go down the Niagara he gathers world¡¯s best kayaker friends. They spend 3 years to travel every corner of the States, Mexico and Canada in search of waterfalls that look like the Niagara and train. Although they experience risky accidents, on D-1, somehow they prepare everything including a medical team in case of an accident and retreat route because going down the stream is illegal and they can be caught. In the early morning of the day, Ortiz looks down on the landing spot and makes a decision that surprises everyone. Turning back just one step behind the goal sometimes needs bigger courage. His withdrawal made a better ending for this film.
