The blind man at Bethsaida, who when Christ returns his sight, after having wetted his eyes with saliva, exclaims "I see men like trees that are walking." The film begins with this narration over the images of trees felled by the loggers in the forest. Trees move from one place to another as if they are traveling around the world. As a string, a boat, a furniture piece and more, they are born again in various forms by the hands of human being. Director Mattia Colombo, who is painter as well, portrays the journey of the trees very poetically, from their birth in the forest to the life in the human world then eventually their return to the forest.
