The icebergs at the Arctic are melting fast due to the global warming. Some refuse to admit it saying it is part of a grand conspiracy theory. At first, National Geographic photographer James Balog went to the Arctic for the photo shoot without much interest in the climate change issues. But several months stay in the Arctic was more than enough for him to realize the seriousness of the issue and he embarked on the Extreme Ice Survey(EIS) lasting for years to show people the proof. The speed and scale of snowmelt of the Arctic taken by the time-lapse photography exceeds our imagination.
