Despite the superstition that it is unlucky for a woman to keep a portrait of the deceased, Eon-ju, the eldest daughter, secretly takes her mother's portrait for the Forty-Nine Day Ceremony dedicated to her late mother. However, she experiences a strange dream on the night she brings the portrait home.
