Sung-min wants to be a Buddhist monk. He asks his friend, Jin-woo to take him to Taewoong Temple, in which he becomes a monk. That day, Sung-min says "I leave home today." to whomever he meets, expressing his will. However, he is rejected by the temple. To make the matters worse, The film which Jin-woo plans to make miscarries. Both of them are stuck. Thus, they set off for another journey.

He directed Donggang Flows and Kim Jongtae's Dream in PURN Production, the documentary community. After that, he became independent and directed Our Mountain. Also, he worked as a broadcasting producer and produced Graduation. I Leave Home is co-produced with his alumni as his first full-length film.
