Married and unemployed, Young-tae and Jeong-hee vow never to borrow from loan sharks. On the birthday of Jeong-hee’s mother, the family gathers and all the other siblings give their mother generous cash gifts while Young-tae and Jeong-hee can’t give a dime. Feeling like a failure, Young-tae blames Jeong-hee, who get angry and decides to borrow from a loan shark.
