Danusia and her daughter Basia live far from the modern world, in tune with nature's rhythm and laws, among animals and the spirits of the dead. Their enclave brings peace and security, but also builds a longing for contact with other people. Bucolic is an affectionate observation of people living differently, and it evokes curiosity about their world and a desire to look closer.
