"No black man had ever set foot in this tiny swiss village before I came." In the winter of 1951, the African-American writer James Baldwin spent a few months in Leukerbad, in the heart of the Valais mountains, where his lover came from. Seventy years later, in a world shaken by the murder of George Floyd, James Baldwin's words resonate with an odd relevancy.
