Gang Chang-sik, a retired civil servant, lives with his wife who was struck by a cerebral haemorrhage a few years ago, and her caretaker, Yu Soo-ok, a Korean Chinese woman and illegal immigrant. Even through his wife is in poor shape, Soo-ok insists on taking time off on weekends. One day, Soo-ok decides to quit her job in order to enter a sham marriage to get a new visa.
