Aniksha, a young Mauritian woman, finds her first job at a call centre in the wake of her arranged marriage. As she discovers a new world of possibilities, she has to decide whether to stay in a familiar way of life or break with traditions.

Vincent TOIVincent TOI
A Canadian filmmaker born in Mauritius. His films explore the complexities of human relationships on post-colonial islands. His short film The Crying Conch(2017) premiered in competition at Berlinale Shorts and won the award for Most Promising Director of Canadian Short Film at Vancouver IFF.
