Nahanni River of Forgiveness is a journey through the wild Nahanni River in Canada’s Northwest Territories in a traditional, handmade moose skin boat. It’s a tribute to the spiritual power of nature to heal the soul and to the resilience and steadfastness of the Dene.

Bowie has made television and theatrical documentaries in English and French for 30 years. Most recently, he has researched, written and directed documentaries made with indigenous communities in Canada as Nahanni River of Forgiveness and First Encounters in the Land of the Wahgoshig.
