In a small village in Nepal, there's a boy named Kalam. He has nothing but playing soccer in his head as he is about to participate in the children's soccer match. However, Kalam's mother wants to send him to India, where he can possibly get a job. Kalam is sad that his family does not understand him. One day, a civil war breaks out between the Maoists and the government, and all his dreams and the life of the family collapse before the politics as if they were just a daydream. He started his career as a production manager and line producer. After graduation, he started a film production company with filmmaker Nigam Bhandari called Cryptid Films that he produced number of Nepali and international award-winning short films. Kalam is his debut film as a writer, director which its world premiered at 24th Busan International Film Festival.
