The tragic story of Old Bet, the first circus elephant in America, is set to a tune sung by his friend farm dog. At a fast pace, the film unfolds the story with clay-on-glass animation when the herbivore elephant that lived in the peaceful plain of Africa is caught and sold to an American farm, while it uses oil pastel when the elephants are slaughtered for their ivory and abused for circus performances. The ivory trade is prohibited by law and the suffering of elephants is widely known nowadays, but this does not necessarily mean that their tragedy is completely over. This animal animation asks us not only to look back on the past but also to pay attention to the present. (HAN Song-yi) [Screening Information] * Every film is only available from 00:00(KST) on its start date to 23:59(KST) on its end date.
