A little boy enters into an imaginary world with a fallen leaf while playing on the sand. As the original title, which translates to 'thinking something else' indicates, he enjoys a perfect day at a funfair with a tree friend in his imagination. The colorful paintings in the film give sheer delight to experience as if we are watching those of creative children. Barbara Brunner graduated from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with a degree in animation in 2008. Since then she has been working in the field of animation, mainly for TV and various clients. Her children’s movie Miles Away is her directorial debut as an independent filmmaker.
