Kylor MELTON
In February 2019, President of the United States, Donald Trump declared a national emergency concerning the southern border with Mexico. People who are against this from Texas, USA and Chihuahua, Mexico gather in the Rio Grande River in the USA-Mexico border region and set up the slacklines on the cliffs to prepare a Cross-Border collaboration. Beyond assembly and protests, this documentary reminds us that expression of opinion can bring deep resonance with creativity and cinematic quality. The moments of walking on the slacklines and lying next to each other feel like bonus scenes for the audience. Kylor lives to tell stories that move the human soul. Stories that ask what it means to be alive. Having worked with brands like Google and National geographic, he has experience at the highest level of filmmaking but if we are being honest, down in the dirt is where the real magic happens. In far flung lands or in his backyard, chasing a story is where he comes alive.
