In a farming village of Shaya, an autonomous region of Xinjiang, China, Isa lives with a sick mother and raises sheep with his close friend Kalbinur. Not being allowed to play soccer due to the circumstances he has to deal with, he lives a routine life with nothing special happening. One day, people decide that Isa¡¯s mother is too sick for him to take care of and send her to a nursing house. Isa comes to have the first experience of farewell in his life as Kalbinur leaves for a city to study as well. With the background of desert, grapevines, and the silver poplar forests of the Xinjiang area, which is not easy to see, this film portrays the daily life of an ethnic minority and how the children grow as seasons change.
