Robbie FRASER
A documentary charting the life of legendary Hamish MacInnes – the man behind the Mount Everest Southwest face expedition, and author of International Mountain Rescue Handbook which is regarded as the standard manual in mountain rescue worldwide. MacInnes is also known as an inventor of rock and ice climbing equipment, as well as being the rescue stretcher and stuntman for renowned mountain films, and author of dozens of mountain books. It is memorable to watch his fight as dementia sets in and he battles to regain his memories through his writings and film. This is a rare opportunity to watch images from the 50s, including those of the Southwest face of Mount Everest, Rakaposhi, Matterhorn, and Roraima.
