Oh Young-, a mountaineer and anthropologist, suffered from the loss of one of his group members, Seong-ho, during the ascent of Mount Everest. The following year, Young- visits the village Wallung in Nepal for research and mixes with the peaceful people there. However, he keeps being reminded of Seong-ho’s last climb and feels sharp pain. Following this Young- wanders through a surreal cave with a torch, then moves forward to a bright light in the distance. In fact, the danger of death and alpine climbing are inseparably linked. This experimental documentary is directed from Oh’s own perspective based on Monsoon by Lim -, and the film portrays, through a dreamlike atmosphere, the process that a person who witnessed a death goes through to accept it and move on.
