In Kyrgyzstan, the old walnut forest between vast mountains has supported the people living in nearby villages for a long time. This beautiful and peaceful documentary silently portrays the Tagaev family harvesting the walnuts in autumn. The daily life of 3 generations shows how they preserve their traditional lifestyle. The children learn it through conversation and the behaviour of their parents, and the culture is inherited along with family love and passed on from one generation to the next. Although the shift of the forest and human society has already begun, and anxiety remains, this is a heart-warming film, which introduces the value and legacy of the ancient forests. (KIM Se-jin)
