A long-lasting drought has dried up a location in Namibia, erasing all traces of possible river sites. So what would it feel like finishing a 950m course alone through 49 degrees Celcius heat during the day on a mountain bike, enduring dehydration and passing out? Can one feel a bond with nature through extreme loneliness? As a footnote, the ¡®Namib¡¯ in Namibian means the same as the title of this documentary, ¡®open space¡¯. (H.Jay LEE)
