Every year, a polo match is held in Shandur, the furthest region in Pakistan located above an altitude of 4,000m. This match in which the Chitral and the Gilgit, who are set on each side of a valley, fight each other has been a tradition held for centuries. The Chitral head Sikander UI Mulk has led his team for more than 20 years. He spent a lifetime as a polo player and has no regrets. He says he would like to continue his mission as long as his health permits. (GWAK Jeong-hye)
