UMFF is always with you
The 7th Ulju Mountain Film Festival has selected mountaineer KIM Hong-bin as the recipient of the Special Achievement Award, and prepared a program to remember his achievements.
As one of Korea¡¯s leading mountaineers, KIM Hong-bin became the first disabled person to summit all 14 eight-thousanders and the highest peaks on each of the 7 continents, despite missing all 10 fingers.
He has also trained for skiing and cycling as a Paralympic athlete.
He is now a shining star above the Himalayas, and Ulju Mountain Film Festival remembers him and his message of hope and indomitable spirit.
Enjoy a documentary about KIM Hong-bin, followed by a discussion with Kim¡¯s companions who were with him at the Broad Peak Expedition.
To share and spread the life philosophy of mountaineer and hope evangelist KIM Hong-bin, Ulju Mountain Film Festival has prepared a display of various materials, including videos and photographs presented during the ¡°Life Beyond the Mountains¡± exhibition held at the Gwangju Museum of Art in 2020.
