Seo Do-eun studied Sociology, Philosophy and Art History at Ewha Women's University. She earned a master¡¯s degree and became a PhD candidate in film studies at University Paris 1. She joined the Zero Plus International Film Festival as a jury member. After working at Ulju Mountain Film Festival, she is currently a programmer of Seoul Eco Film Festival.
Young Hoon Oh is anthropologist, mountaineer, and writer. He has served as a director for Korean Alpine Federation and an editorial committee member for Mountain Monthly. He is currently a researcher in the Institute of Cross-Cultural Studies at Seoul National University. He has climbed extensively, from rocks and ice in South Korea to Everest in Nepal. His last book is Climbing Sherpas in the Himalayas: An Anthropology of Sherpa Ethnicity.
A film critic, Han Song-yi has completed a PhD degree in film studies and has created films and instructed scenario writing for a while and is still teaching filmmaking in Seoul. She takes a part in preliminary jury based on her personal experience of climbing club years ago.
Studied Architectural Design at Yonsei University and got a Certificate from Dept. of Film Production at Brooklyn College / City of University and MA in Media Studies at New School University. He directed Into the Mirror, One Shining Day, The Cliff-an episode of omnibus film; HORROR Story 2, How to Steal a Dog, Notebook from My Mother and Netflix original series, Move To Heaven.Working in Korean Film Industry, he teaches in Writing for Film Department at Chugye University.
Jay Jeon studied journalism at Sungkyunkwan University. His film career began whilst still a student in the early 1980's when he started a progressive film movement called "East West Film Group" at the Goethe Institute, one of Korea's first academic societies for filmmakers and critics. Having previously served as head programmer and deputy director and head of the Asian Film Market from 2011 to 2016, and festival director from 2018 to 2020 at the Busan International Film Festival,
Caroline Fink is a filmmaker and photographer specialized in mountaineering, mountain culture and people connected to mountains. In filming, she has worked as a director and camerawoman in major projects in the Alps and the Himalayas. After completing a master¡¯s degree in sociology many years back, she remains highly interested in sociocultural topics. She lives in the centre of Zurich and spends many days a year in the mountains, being a passionate alpinist.
Initiator and artistic director of the Dutch Mountain Film Festival. For ten years, he was a graphic designer for the magazine of the Dutch climbing association. In 2001 he started organizing interdisciplinary cultural events in which film, music, sports and visual arts were combined. He never lost track of the mountains, and with his climbing partner Horbach, he organized in 2011 the first Dutch Mountain Film Festival.
President of Korea Student Alpine Federation, leader of the Korean Student Academic Expedition to be the world first to summit Mt. Khumjungar Himal and the Founding President of University of Utah Asia Campus. He was the first Asian to join the High Pointers Club summited all 50 states highest peak in 2013 and has summited 6 out of the 7 summits except Mt. Everest. He climbed El Captain in Yosemite in 1985, Grand Teton in 2006 and the highest point in Peru Mt. Huascaran in 2013.
Nada Azhari Gillon is a Syrian French critic mainly interested in French, Arab and Asian Cinema such as Iranian and Indian. She is the author of Contemporary Iranian Cinema(2012) and collaborates regularly with prestigious Pan-Arab media such as magazines and newspapers. She is a member of FIPRESCI, NETPAC, UJC. And covers cinema¡¯s festivals for the press participates in many international juries, and advises some festivals in France and Asia about their programs of Arabic cinema.

Served as the head of film operations at KM Culture, and participated in the production of Oh Brothers, 200 Pounds Beauty, Take Off, and Love Forecast. CEO of STUDIOSIMANDZANG, an agency specializing in planning and producing campaign marketing and PR. Has promoted TV series including HYENA and Do You Like Brahms? Currently promoting Those Who Read the Mind of Evil, with plans to promote Our Blues.
Kan Lume was born in Singapore and started making films as soon as he could borrow a digital camera. His shoestring-budget films have won multiple awards at international film festivals, including twice winning the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film. Kan has been on festival juries in France, Estonia, South Korea, India, Philippines and Indonesia. He currently teaches filmmaking at the Faculty of Cinematic Arts, MMU, Malaysia.
The Youth Jury of the Ulju Mountain Film Festival(UMFF) was launched in 2019 to encourage the participation of the Ulsan region¡¯s younger generation. They will watch 12 films from Asian Competition and select 1 awarded film. The UMFF Youth Juris made up of 10 Students from Cheonsang High School. Apart from NETPAC Award recipient selected by NETPAC Jury, the Youth Jury selects an award recipient based on their own inspiration and fresh eyes. This provides the Ulsan Youth with an opportunity to experience various Asian cultures and tastes through films, while making UMFF all more bountiful and original.
