Min-jae(17), a promising high school track athlete, has endured unfair treatment because of poverty. After seriously injuring her rival and friend, her coach offers to cover up the incident in exchange for an illegal substitution. Their pact for survival begins. With her rival gone, Min-jae shows her talent, but her conscience grows louder. She must make a final choice.
In Korea’s intensely competitive society, underprivileged youth constantly face impossible choices: hold on to their convictions and lose everything, or betray themselves to succeed. Tomorrow’s Min-Jae follows a sprinter pushed to the margins by a lack of social capital and support networks, portraying the harsh reality of a generation whose path to rightful success has been closed.
