The Accordion Door

Ji-soo, a literary boy who believes a mysterious being once visited him as a child and granted him talent, finds school life dull—his only friend being Jong-yoon, a quirky science geek. One day, Hyeon-ju, a boyish soccer girl, transfers to his class and immediately catches his attention. From that moment on, strange things begin to happen around Ji-soo.

When the well of talent I thought would last forever suddenly ran dry, and I no longer shone, I once asked myself whether the past me and the present me were truly the same person. The simple answer—that I could keep going not because I was good, but because I loved it—came, like a season, a beat late.
