In the forest of Seonheul Gotjawal on Jeju Island, where evergreen wetlands never run dry, the sounds of birds, trees, wind, and water fill the air. Layered over them are the voices and footsteps of children, completing a village's summer. Marked by historical scars and traces of everyday life, the forest is both a season and a place of growth for the children.
Gotjawal, a primeval forest blanketed by dense evergreen trees, is a place of distinctive light and rich sound. Centered on the sounds of the forest, this film layers space and time to explore how nature and people, generations and seasons, embrace and resonate with one another.
