SYNOPSIS

A set of 500*500 pixel boxes begins tracking a group of images of a train running between Korea and Kazakhstan. The boxes generate outputs: K-pop, nomad, motion sickness, Koryo-saram, and space trip. Logical explanation and narrative are absent. The meanings of the data pieces can only be inferred by their juxtaposition and assembly. And we are very much used to it.

NOTE

[Lee Chan-yeol, Cho Han-na, Samgar Rakym & Ali Tynybekov, Directors]

AI engines can yield outputs from whatever random data they are fed. Often, they come up with uncanny results. Is this due to an incomplete algorithm? Or is it a depiction of the sense of randomness we encounter among the myriad of data?
