Jin-hyun, a social worker, is vexed because Young-jin, a conscript serving alternative military service, is chronically late. One day, Jin-hyun finds out that Young-jin is homeless and lets him crash at his studio for a while. Meanwhile, Jin-hyun encounters elderly Soon-rye at the welfare center. During her regular visits to the center, she clings to Jin-hyun to spill out her distressed situation.

Myriads of dysfunctional relationships have rushedly multiplied under social pressure induced by the overarching filial piety. Nevertheless, the essence of life is revealed as those who vainly discuss porous systems, which could also be slipping through the net under the surface.
Born in 1990, Lee Jong-su majored in contemporary art. Heritage is his first feature film.
