SYNOPSIS

In the summer of 2021, an exceptional heat-wave and drought led to giant fires ravaging millions of hectares of land in northeastern Siberia. Spread by the wind, the black ashes carry alarming news: the forest is on fire and the flames are fast approaching. The government having left them to fend for themselves, the inhabitants must rally to fight The Dragon.

NOTE

[Jinna Lee, Programmer]

Unlike Russian folklore depicting winds over sacred mountains, the 2021 wildfire menacingly brought smoke and flames, serving as both a dire threat and a preview of future climate change. Filmmakers joined the locals to document the destructive fires.
