Hannu lives in the West of Finland. An environment home to all kinds of wildlife. When Hannu finds a dead lynx by the side of the road, he realizes that the lynx have returned. He sets up trail cameras all over his land, recording everything from moose to mice. The spirit of the lynx permeates deeper into Hannu’s world as he becomes increasingly fascinated by theirs.

The friendship between the lynx and Hannu is a narrative tool to tell a story about biodiversity and the right to life. Redefining a new type of nature relationship calls for an agent to act between wild animals and people.
He is a professor, photographer, and filmmaker. He has exhibited internationally and published documentary films-topics related to photography, visualizing science, and the construction of the identity of a place.
