Holding Up the Sky
Davi Kopenawa has been fighting the exploitation of his people's land since the 1970s. While their territory seemed to be protected since the 1990s, the habitat of the Amazonian tribes is now threatened more than ever. Holding Up the Sky takes us alongside this ambassador, into the skies and the forest that protect his people, and to the places that threaten them.

A story from the Yanomami tribe of the Amazon tells us that if the shaman's dance ceases and the rainforest is destroyed, the sky will collapse, and all will vanish. Can Chief Davi's tribe and the invasive greed of capitalism find a point of reconciliation?
